Reading outside of class is becoming increasingly rare for college students. According to a survey conducted by China University Media Union on more than five hundred college students, 37% of respondents read less than 5 books outside of class, and 6% of students read nothing but class materials. Educators say students treat reading as a burden. How to change this and inspire students to enjoy reading is an urgent task. How serious is the situation?
