Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong met with a delegation led by governor Kate Brown of Oregon on Friday. Liu said the state visit paid by Chinese President Xi Jinping to the United States in September is historical and directs future bilateral ties. Liu called on the two sides to deepen pragmatic cooperation to promote building a new type of major-country relations between the two countries. Liu expressed her hope that Oregon will have more cooperation in economy, trade, education, culture and environmental protection with China to contribute more to subnational cooperation between the two countries. Kate Brown said Oregon attaches importance to the ties with China and stands ready to enhance pragmatic cooperation. |
