A new policy paper says China is ready to strengthen its anti-terrorism exchanges and cooperation with Arab countries, with an aim to establish long-term security cooperation. The Arab Policy Paper also states that China is ready to strengthen dialogue and intelligence sharing, and carry out technical cooperation and personnel training, to jointly address the threats from regional and international terrorism. The new paper is the first of its kind to be issued by the Chinese government. In addition to addressing security concerns, it also explores the need for strengthening cooperation in terms of politics, trade and investment, social development, culture, and people-people exchanges.
